Back Online With Business To Share

It's been quite a while since I've posted on this blog, and for a very good reason. I am not one of the ones that has made it rich from my efforts to market on the internet. But I keep searching and buying products and learning and taking small actions when I can.

I believe that Internet Marketing is the way forward and I personally love the internet. Having said that my life has changed a bit now and so the ability to spend as much time online is limited. ( This is the reason why I haven't said anything about The Thirty Day Challenge this year - if you are interested though check my earlier posts on the subject and sign up.) This not withstanding I do intend to make a living online, and I would like to share some of the main things I'm learning with you. Hopefully I will get my act together enough in order to do it in a more fun fashion than just writing posts! But until then here goes.

I had a site that I unfortunately let the hosting run out because I was offline for three months! I got to find out later that just before it did I had made £170 in affiliate earnings in just the last month, before that it used to be an average of £10,00 per month for this site and just as things started picking up it went DEAD. I'm still in the process of restoring the site!

So lesson No. 1: Don't let your Hosting package run out. Because not only do I have to pay for the hosting to restore the site but I have to rebuild right from the beginning again as the site was deleted and I had done away with the computer I used to build it, along with the files of my site. I have no backup so back to the drawing board!

Losing your hosting could mean sudden death for your website, especially if you do not have a back-up, which lets face it most of us don't!

I will continue to share the new lessons I'm learning as I continue to set up my sites and build my online business.
