5 Lessons on Management

5 Lessons on Management by Chux Albright

Lesson 1:

A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings.

The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs.

When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next-door neighbour.

Before she says a word, Bob says, 'I'll give you $800 to drop that towel.'

After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob, after a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves.

The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs.

When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks, 'Who was that?'

'It was Bob the next door neighbour,' she replies.

'Great,' the husband says, 'did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?'

Moral of the story:

If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure

Lesson 2:

A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp.

They rub it and a Genie comes out.
The Genie says, 'I'll give each of you just one wish.'
'Me first! Me first!' says the admin clerk. 'I want to be in the Bahamas , driving a speedboat, without a care in the world.'
Puff! She's gone.

'Me next! Me next!' says the sales rep. 'I want to be in Hawaii , relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life.'

Puff! He's gone.

'OK, you're up,' the Genie says to the manager.
The manager says, 'I want those two back in the office after
lunch.'

Moral of the story:
Always let your boss have the first say.

Lesson 3

An eagle was sitting on a tree resting, doing nothing.

A small rabbit saw the eagle and asked him, 'Can I also sit like you and do nothing?'
The eagle answered: 'Sure, why not.'

So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the eagle and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story:
To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.

Lesson 4

A turkey was chatting with a bull.

'I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree' sighed the turkey, 'but I haven't got the energy.'
'Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?' replied the bull. They're packed with nutrients.'

The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree.

The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch.

Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly perched at the top of the tree.

He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree.

Moral of the story:
Bull Shit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there..

Lesson 5

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field.

While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him.

As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was.

The dung was actually thawing him out!

He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.
A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate.

Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.

Morals of the story:
(1) Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy.

(2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your
friend.

(3) And when you're in deep shit, it's best to keep
your mouth shut!

5 Ways To Duplicate Your Downline in 30/90 Days

5 Ways To Duplicate Your Downline in 30/90 Days! Then Run With the Stallions of MLM.
Article by Mongo Edwards
Many Network Marketing opportunities provide websites, tools, techniques, training and strategies. They also give Networkers steps to take when following up with their warm and cold market by providing script templates. These tools help when marketing the traditional way. However, these sites are not duplicatable to the masses in the industry.

The problem with most successful mentors and leaders in the Network Marketing Industry to date is teaching their followers how to mimic their strengths, critically disabling 97% of Networkers. They lack the spirit of honesty to admit their struggles. Why not reveal for free, the knowledge and information upfront to their customers? Knowledge is power but without duplication, knowledge becomes isolated and stagnant. Don’t advertise false testimonials; be able to demonstrate exactly step-by-step what actions were taken to be a duplicative marketer.

If you have the inside secrets, strategies, and disciplines, show your team what you've done for your success, even your response when doors are slammed in your face...honesty. That's how you strengthen your team! My newest team member who has just caught the vision or been "bitten" by the internet marketing "bug", is successful in his network marketing opportunity, however he’s weary of always talking about the benny's of his company and desires to start with the benefits of what it would be like to work with "Him". He wanted to "Brand himself as the opportunity/ not vice versa ", be the Light in a Dark economy, be the "Alpha" marketer, and take his visions and dreams Global. Here's how he took it to the next level:

#1 Take Action: Initiate everything you can to succeed on-line. Blogs, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube, Myspace is just a few. Find a successful mentor who you can 'gleen' from keep up with their pace. Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, and LaBron James all studied Michael Jordan at one point. You must be aggressive in growing your business not passive. There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you’re interested in doing something you only do it when it's convenient, when you’re committed you take no excuses only results. Be visible, if a picture says a thousand words imagine a video.

#2 Build Relationships: The worst thing you can do is shove your business opportunity in someone's face and not know where their interest lie. You are not a tell-a-marketer but a network marketer. Think about what makes you different than everyone else, what are you bringing to the table that adds value to your clientele... remember people want to know about you more than your business so don’t be afraid to be open to new friendships.

#3 Educate: Emphasize the fact that we make money before we sign anyone up to our primary business. Teach for free about Autoresponders, Affiliate Programs and Lead Blasters. Suggest Mike Dillard's "Magnetic Sponsoring e-book or Larry Beacham's "LinkedIn Blueprint or even Michael Dlouhy's "Success In 10 Steps. Wisdom in this industry is priceless.

#4 Stay Informed: Training!!! Stay in the Loop! Remember, Eagles soar alone. You have to find your target market and be that Go-To person.

#5 Be a Solution: In your target market there will be many problems with many people. Help identify their needs.
a. What does your prospect desire?
b. What are their fears and frustrations?
c. What makes them want to give up?

If you can identify those pains and frustrations of your leads go-ahead and increase your own value by learning how to offer them solutions the RIGHT way…Attraction Marketing!

Back Online With Business To Share

It's been quite a while since I've posted on this blog, and for a very good reason. I am not one of the ones that has made it rich from my efforts to market on the internet. But I keep searching and buying products and learning and taking small actions when I can.

I believe that Internet Marketing is the way forward and I personally love the internet. Having said that my life has changed a bit now and so the ability to spend as much time online is limited. ( This is the reason why I haven't said anything about The Thirty Day Challenge this year - if you are interested though check my earlier posts on the subject and sign up.) This not withstanding I do intend to make a living online, and I would like to share some of the main things I'm learning with you. Hopefully I will get my act together enough in order to do it in a more fun fashion than just writing posts! But until then here goes.

I had a site that I unfortunately let the hosting run out because I was offline for three months! I got to find out later that just before it did I had made £170 in affiliate earnings in just the last month, before that it used to be an average of £10,00 per month for this site and just as things started picking up it went DEAD. I'm still in the process of restoring the site!

So lesson No. 1: Don't let your Hosting package run out. Because not only do I have to pay for the hosting to restore the site but I have to rebuild right from the beginning again as the site was deleted and I had done away with the computer I used to build it, along with the files of my site. I have no backup so back to the drawing board!

Losing your hosting could mean sudden death for your website, especially if you do not have a back-up, which lets face it most of us don't!

I will continue to share the new lessons I'm learning as I continue to set up my sites and build my online business.

Final Count Down To The Thirty Day Challenge

The final Pre Season video for the Thirty Day Challenge is up, 3 more days to go and Bang the 2008 30DC will launch and we will all be ready to go.
For those of you who don't know what this is about see my previous post on Thirty Day Challenge: A Great Starting Point For Internet Marketing. So are you ready for the challenge? If you have not signed on yet do so Now. Go to Thirty Day Challenge and input your name and email and bam you're in. It's that simple.
And if you are in here are a few pointers to help you get prepared and ready for the 30 days ahead.

How to get the best out of the thirty day challenge

1. Complete the Pre Season Lessons and set up your computer. You need a system in place, that is why Ed took the trouble of having a Pre Season period to help you get your system in place. The system helps to save time, lots of time. So if its not up and running yet, get to it.

2. You need to stay focused on the challenge, that is, the fact that you will spend the next 30 days doing it. It can get overwhelming if you do not focus on what is most important, and what is that? Following the lessons Ed teaches and getting the practicals that come with it done.

3. Twitter, the forum, Facebook, are great and we do need the people who maybe the most important contacts we make on-line this year or ever, yet they are still just tools do not let them rule you, consume your time and overwhelm you with stuff that will not take you to achieving your goal. Which should be to complete the challenge.

4. What ever you do get the lesson for the day done. Follow Ed_Dale, period.

5. OK, I've read some not so great remarks about this Australian guy who speaks in a slang people don't understand, etc and sometimes the comments are much worse. In case you didn't know its Ed Dale they are referring to, well as I'm originally from Nigeria I can see how this small minded approach stops us from learning and appreciating what Ed has brought so freely to the table. Even if you know a lot of the stuff he's teaching you don't know it all and some of this stuff could make or if you don't learn it break your business.
Anyway enough of that, I think I'm ranting ... just follow Ed he knows what he is doing. Some people who stayed on the challenge till the end and didn't make $10 last year have gone on to start great Internet Businesses or blogs thanks to the 30 Day Challenge. You could be one of them.

6. Again, Stay focused on doing the lessons and completing the challenge, if you need help, ask your teammates, get on the forum if we don't know the answers. Some one else does, we are all here because we have a goal to make our internet marketing dreams come true. The Journey is about to begin.

Let's do it.
